Introduced in 2018 at a standard rate of 5%, VAT compliance is managed by the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).

Registration Thresholds

• Mandatory: Taxable supplies exceed AED 375,000 in the previous 12 months.
• Voluntary: Taxable supplies or expenses exceed AED 187,500.
